Hello Everyone
It’s been nearly a month since our last platform update, so I thought I’d share what we have in improved for this latest build.
Our latest build for BlackBerry features an OS 7 version, for all of you WAY-early adopters. We’re getting a jump on RIM’s slated release of 7 new BB OS 7 devices this fall, so when they launch, there is no excuse to be late on your expense reports.
You might notice a difference to the expense list screen on BlackBerry and Android; we’ve removed the title ‘Expense List’ and we’ve also made our filter notification a little bit smaller to save you some screen real estate.
We also made some fundamental changes to the Android and BlackBerry mileage trackers, making sure to accommodate our neighbors-to-the-north (and south) by giving users the easy ability to change whether they are recording their distance in Miles or Kilometers from the Mileage expense. Previously, this option was unavailable on Android and on BlackBerry it was difficult to find.
The last change I’d like to mention is the ability to Add Income. This was just launched on Android, so now on all three platforms (Android, BlackBerry and iOS devices) you’re able to record the money you receive up front for your expenses and see the total amount for your expenses (less the Income).
We’ve got a big feature lined up for release on iPhone and Android that should be launching within the next week, so stay tuned for that. As always, if you ever have any questions, don’t hesitate to shoot us an email: Support@ProOnGo.com

Hello Everyone!
It’s been a while since we’ve had some release notes published, but that’s only because we’ve been hard at work. Today, we published new versions for all three major platforms, iPhone, Android and BlackBerry and we’ve made some big Web Portal updates for those that access ProOnGo from another method.
Here’s a run-down of what’s
- Added ability to track odometer start/stop in Mileage-Tracking (Screenshot below)
- Added more customizable fields to Mileage-Tracking and Time-Tracking
- Added drag-and-drop pin in map view for mileage tracking – if GPS detects a location that is block off, just drag the pin to the precise location and it will update the address
- Cosmetic changes to Sort/Filter UI (got rid of “action sheet pop-up” and turned it into a graphical list of options) -
- Added an option to mark expenses as “Archived” when the moment after they are included in a report. This helps people keep track of what they’ve already scrubbed + filed away, versus what expenses are a “work in progress.” (Caught up w/ Android and BlackBerry versions)
- Added an Income feature, alongside the Expense feature. Income items will appear in the main list view with an icon that looks like a wallet. (Only available on Web Portal and iPhone for now)
- Moved mileage, time, custom fields, and exchange rate settings into the app – they were previously buried in iPhone->Settings->ProOnGo (wasn’t a very convenient spot)
- Added a “crash reporter” so that if a user ever experiences the app closing unexpectedly, the next time it launches they’ll be asked to send a diagnostic email to us, so that we’ll know exactly what went wrong and be able to fix it in the next release.
- Improved performance for users with 1000+ expenses – we have some power-users that have several thousand expenses on their device – and at their request, we have improved the performance of the app under those conditions by a factor of about 5x.
- Added an ability to rename Field 1 – Field 4. Want Field 1 to be “GL Code” and Field 2 to be “Project Name”? No problem. Can now edit on-device or via web.
- Manager updates Employees Custom Fields – Whenever a manager updates their categories, their employees categories will instantly update as well.
- Added an ability to set a default categorization. For example, a user who mostly has expenses that they categorize as Travel, can have all new expenses default to Field1 = Travel (they can always edit it if the expense is for something else)
As always, if you have a comment or question, don’t hesitate to send us an email (support@ProOnGo.com) or tweet us, @ProOnGo.

Hello Everyone!
It’s the beginning of December and we’re quickly approaching the one year anniversary of the release of the ProOnGo Expense build for iPhone. We’ve come along way since then, and we don’t plan on stopping the development train just yet!
This new version for iPhone features a major upgrade for our expense filtering system; You can now filter your expenses by multiple metrics
What you can do:
- Filter by client name and time period
- Filter by expense type and client name
- Filter expenses payment type and expense type
- Filter expenses by their workflow status
- Many, many other combinations
Keep in mind, when you create a report, the expenses included in the report will be the expenses shown on your Expense List home screen.
How we see you using this:
It’s the end of the week, you just finished up a project with a client and now it’s now time to send your expenses to your client. Simply filter your expenses by client name and time period and then create your report, then your client is updated with your expenses.

Give us a shout about this feature (Support@ProOnGo.com) or any other feature you have an opinion on and as usual, and we’ll keep making ProOnGo Expense your favorite mobile expense-tracker.

A new version of ProOnGo Expense went live on the iTunes App Store yesterday and we managed to fix some bugs as well as added anew feature; we now have a “Start From Here” item at the bottom of each mileage expense.
If you drive from 102 Main Street, Gary, IN to 300 Lake Shore Drive, Chicago, IL, and your next sales call is in Milwaukee, you can open up the Chicago expense, tap on “Start From Here”, and it will create a new mileage expense that starts at exactly “300 Lake Shore Drive, Chicago, IL”.
So, someone who drives through multiple stops per day can stitch them together into a contiguous set of mileage expenses where they’re sure not to miss the opportunity to take credit for every mile driven. Give us a shout about this feature (Support@ProOnGo.com) and as usual, keep telling us what you like and don’t like about ProOnGo Expense!

Rebranding ProOnGo Expense to fit your company.
Coming in early December, we will be launching the ProOnGo Expense White Label package. This brand new package allows businesses to rebrand ProOnGo Expense with their company’s log and color scheme, and we will upload this new app to the iTunes App Store.
How it works:
If you’re interested in getting a custom application for your firm, it’s a relatively quick and easy process thanks to the ProOnGo Expense Custom App Wizard. All you do is:
- Pick your splash screen color
- Insert your Company Splash Screen image
- Upload your app icon
- Choose your color scheme
- ProOnGo uploads the app to the iTunes App Store.
After you complete the wizard, you’ll be able to instruct your employees to the iTunes App Store market to download the company’s rebranded expense-tracking application. You can expect the White Label Wizard to go live in early December.

A few weeks back we launched our ProOnGo Businesses Packages. These packages allow businesses us to easily distribute ProOnGo Expense throughtout their company without needing to worry about individual subscriptions.
I want to take a moment and go over our Premium Business Package’s features and explain how these features can help out your business with expense tracking.

With the a Business Package subscription, businesses don’t have to worry about signing up every single one of their employees with ProOnGo. They simply point to the ProOnGo Expense app in the device’s marketplace, and as long as they sign up with the company’s email address, the user will enjoy full benefits of a ProOnGo subscription

It’s important for businesses to have a back up of their receipts in case of an audit. Luckily, ProOnGo has businesses covered. We offer 80 GB or receipt images. That’s over 80,000 receipt images per year. All of this information is instantly recalled as soon as a business needs it.
Custom Excel Spreadsheet Integration
Most businesses contain expense report templates and as our Pro Subscribers already know, we’re able to take that template and have it automatically filled out with your expenses. Businesses will receive the same special. They just send us their expense report template and it’ll be fully integrated into the app within two weeks.
Credit Card Integration
We currently support American Express cards, but within the next coming weeks, we are rolling out our support to over 90% of banks in the United States. So businesses with ProOnGo Expense can have their employees business cards instantly sync with their expenses, so no manual entry is necessary.

Hello All
We just released our Credit Card Integration feature into ProOnGo Expense about two months ago, and it’s quickly becoming one of our more popular features. The feature, which allows users to sync their credit card with ProOnGo Expense, imports the credit card’s transactions as expenses.
Well we’ve just granted access to the Credit Card Integration feature for our Trial and Lite Package users. The trial is only going to be around for a limited time, so sync up your card now and see how you like it.
Oh, and keep sending us your questions and comments to Support@ProOnGo.com!

Hello All
As usual, we’re busy at work, continuing to improve ProOnGo Expense usability as well as develop new features. But we’re also in the process of developing a Getting Started Guide for users that want to know more about how to use all of our fancy features.

iPhone Getting Started Guide
You can take a look at what we already have out there: iPhone Getting Started Guide & the BlackBerry Getting Started Guide. We’ll continue to post updates to the Getting Started Guides as well as launch a guide for Android within the next few weeks, so keep checking back.
And of course, as always, if we’re missing something or leaving something out in which you think our guides need, or a feature/improvement the app needs, don’t hesitate to shoot me an email: Max@ProOnGo.com.
