What should I do to protect my private information?

Never send images containing your credit card number, partial credit card number, or other sensitive information. Use the Privacy Editor Tool included with the software to remove all such information before submitting your receipts.

What receipts can I use with ProOnGo?

ProOnGo can capture receipts up to 8.5"x11" with most supported phones; however, our service for automatically recognizing receipt details is only designed to process receipts printed in English, in U.S. currency amounts.

I installed ProOnGo on my BlackBerry, but I can't figure out how to launch it. Can you help?

Most BlackBerry phones put applications like ProOnGo in a folder called "Downloads". You can get to that folder by looking (and tapping on) the icon that looks like this.

How can I get ProOnGo to save expense information into the custom Excel Spreadsheet that I am required to use for my expense report?

What currencies does ProOnGo Expense support?

For expenses that you file manually (not converted automatically using our service), ProOnGo Expense supports 91 unique currencies. For each currency, ProOnGo allows you to configure an exchange rate to your home currency, in which your expenses are stored.

In QuickBooks Online Edition, how do I revoke ProOnGo's access rights, if I no longer use ProOnGo to submit expenses to QuickBooks Online Edition?

Visit Answer #2655 in the QuickBooks Online Edition Knowledge Base. Or, in QuickBooks Online Edition, go to Company->All Lists, click on Connection List, then Delete the connection named ProOnGo Expense.

Do I need a data plan to use ProOnGo?

If you plan to use the ProOnGo service to process receipt images, we recommend an unlimited data plan.

What if I'm having trouble emailing my Excel-based expense reports from my phone, because they are so large?

If you receive errors when trying to send large Excel-based expense reports, try the following:
  • Filter the List: the Excel files will be smaller but you will have to send multiple e-mails
  • Transfer via USB Cable: if you travel with your USB cable, just connect your USB cable to your device and browse to the proongo folder. Email Support@ProOnGo.com if you need assistance with this option.
  • Fax your Expenses: no file limit, but image quality is reduced and you will use more credits.

When I try to open a PDF through ProOnGo Expense, I get a certificate error. Why?

Some users who have hard-reset their Windows Mobile device have reported seeing the following error: The file 'Expenses' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file. This error is caused by a missing registry key. For example, a user who has Adobe® Reader LE 2.0 installed would typically have the following registry key:

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AdobeReaderLE.2\shell\open\command]
(default)=ppc_adobereaderle.exe "%1"

If missing, the above error message will occur. Some users who hard-reset this device have reported that this registry key no longer exists after the reset. This prevents ProOnGo Expense from launching PDF files in your viewer. To correct the problem, you would need to use a registry editor to modify the registry directly.


After I add a receipt image to an expense, how can I access that receipt image later?

The receipt image will be visible, and available for review, right from the expense viewer window. Also, embedded images can (optionally) be included in .XLSX and .PDF expense reports. Just go to "Settings" for PDF or Spreadsheet exports, and turn on detail pages.

How much storage space does ProOnGo Expense require?

We recommend at least 2MB of free storage space available, when installing ProOnGo Expense. However, the exact amount of storage required will depend on the number of expenses that you track.

I need a different format of expense report--can you add a custom format?

When I start ProOnGo, I get an error message that says: Cannot find ProOnGo Expense (or one of its components). Why?

This message will appear if you are using a non-touchscreen phone, not yet supported by ProOnGo. Let us know what phone you carry, and we'll notify you when ProOnGo Expense is supported for your particular model.
